These terms apply when you use screendevon.com, contact Screen Devon, create an account or submit a crew profile, location or other material.

About this service

Screen Devon provides information, introductions and practical support for film and television activity in Devon. Information on this site is general guidance and does not replace permission, legal advice, safety advice or approval from a landowner, local authority, regulator or other responsible body.

Accounts

You must provide accurate information, keep account credentials secure and tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised. You are responsible for activity carried out through your account. Screen Devon may suspend or close accounts that misuse the service or breach these terms.

Your submissions

You retain ownership of material you submit. You confirm that you have the right to provide it and that it is accurate, lawful and does not infringe another person's rights. You grant Screen Devon a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, review, edit for presentation and publish approved material for the operation and promotion of the Screen Devon service. You may withdraw published material by updating or deleting your account, or by contacting us.

Review and directory listings

Crew profiles and locations are reviewed before publication. Submission does not guarantee approval, publication, prominence, enquiries or work. We may request changes, decline, hide or remove content where it is inaccurate, unsuitable, unsafe, unlawful, outdated or inconsistent with the purpose of the service.

Acceptable use

You must not submit malicious code, unlawful or misleading content, confidential information you are not authorised to share, or material that is abusive, discriminatory, defamatory or infringes intellectual property or privacy rights. You must not attempt to disrupt, scrape at unreasonable volume, bypass security or gain unauthorised access to the site.

Third parties and production decisions

Directory entries and introductions are supplied as a starting point. Screen Devon does not endorse or guarantee any person, supplier, property, availability, suitability, permission or commercial arrangement. Productions and contributors remain responsible for their own checks, contracts, insurance, risk assessments, safeguarding and legal compliance.

Availability and liability

We aim to keep the service accurate and available but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access or that all information is complete or current. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. To the extent permitted by law, Screen Devon is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from reliance on website information, directory entries, third-party services or decisions made between users.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms and will publish the revised date on this page. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory rights that apply to you.
