Privacy
Policy
This policy explains how Screen Devon handles personal information provided by visitors to screendevon.com and people who contact our service.
Information we collect
We may collect information that you submit to us, including your name, email address, telephone number, address, social media profile information and details about your production or location enquiry.
How we use information
We use personal information to respond to enquiries, provide appropriate services, improve the website and communicate information that you have requested. We only share information with partners or service providers where this is necessary to fulfil your request or meet a legal obligation.
Storage and security
Personal information collected by Screen Devon is stored securely. Access is restricted to people who need it for the purposes described in this policy. No method of online storage is completely secure, but we use reasonable measures to protect your information.
Crew and location profile retention
Crew profiles, location submissions, private location contact details and associated images are retained while the related account remains open so the account holder can manage the submission and Screen Devon can review or publish it. Pending or rejected submissions remain in the account until they are updated or the account is deleted. When an account holder uses the account deletion control, the account, owned profiles, locations, private details and uploaded media are removed from active systems. Residual encrypted backup copies may remain until routine backup rotation completes, or information may be retained where required to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
Enquiry retention
Production and general enquiries, including any uploaded brief, are retained for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, provide follow-up support, maintain an appropriate business record and meet legal obligations. You may ask us to delete an enquiry where we no longer have a lawful reason to retain it.
Cookies and site data
The site uses essential authentication and security cookies for member and staff accounts. With your permission, Google Analytics processes website usage data to help us understand and improve the service. Analytics storage is denied by default, and we do not enable advertising cookies. See our cookie policy for details and controls.
Your rights
Depending on applicable data protection law, your rights may include access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection, data portability, withdrawal of consent and the right to complain to a supervisory authority.
Children's privacy
Our service is not directed to anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we can take appropriate action.
Changes and external links
We may update this policy and will publish changes on this page. Our website may link to third-party websites; Screen Devon is not responsible for their content or privacy practices.
